The conditions and information set forth below represent the terms of contract between passenger(s) and Donna Franca Tours.
AIR TRANSPORTATION: Tours outlined in this brochure are inclusive of airfare with selected carriers such as Allitalia Airlines, Air France and Continental. Independent land packages are based on the utilization of these airlines as the transatlantic carrier. The lowest applicable airfare will be quoted to you by our reservation office at the time of booking. Our fares are based on bulk and published rates once tickets have been written they are non refundable.
LAND ONLY: The land rates published in this brochure are subject to changes due to dollar fluctuations. Passengers travelling on frequent flyer tickets, consolidator tickets, or tickets not issued by Donna Franca Tours are subject to a land surcharge of $50 per person on bookings for hotel and independent packages.
RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS ESCORTED TOURS: Early reservations are advised. Space is limited. No reservation is considered confirmed without a $200 per person deposit received in the form of a check. For bookings within 45 days prior to departure full payment is due immediately. Late reservations may be accepted within 30 days prior to departure, subject to availability, and will incur a late booking fee of $50 per booking, they will also be subject to express mail charges. Note: All payments for Land Only bookings must be by check or cash.
RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS FIT/INDEPENDENT & HOTEL PACKAGES: To confirm Hotel Packages and FIT arrangements a deposit of $200 per person is required in the form of a check. For Independent and Hotel Packages final payment is due 45 days prior to U.S. departure. Late reservations may be accepted within 30 prior to departure, subject to availability, with immediate full payment by check only and will incur a late booking fee of $50 per booking, they will also be subject to express mail charges.
CANCELLATIONS ESCORTED TOURS: Cancellations received up to 50 days prior to departure are refunded in full less $100.00 per person to cover penalties imposed by hotel. If cancellation is received between 49-22 days prior to departure, a charge of $200 per person will be charged to cover penalties imposed by hotel. Cancellations received 21-8 days prior to departure are subject to 50% of the applicable package price. Cancellation received 7 days prior and up to the date of departure are nonrefundable. We strongly recommend to purchase our valuable insurance protection.
CANCELLATIONS ITALY OR CHANGES TO INDEPENDENT/ FIT/HOTEL PACKAGES: Cancellations and changes must be notified in writing. A $25 per person charge will be levied in the event changes are made to a reservation. Cancellations received in writing up to 50 days prior to departure will be refunded in full less $100 per person to cover communications & administrative costs plus penalties imposed by hotel. Cancellations received 49-22 days prior to are refundable in full less $200 per person. Cancellations received 21-8 days prior to departure are subject to a 50% penalty charge (50%of the applicable package price). Cancellations received 7 days to date of departure are non-refundable. No refunds are issued for any unused portions of the tour.
CANCELLATIONS DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE CAUSES: Cancellations due to force majeure causes are subject to a $200 per person fee. If clients rebook the same vacation withing six (6) months, this charge will be applied to the new booking.
VILLAS & APARTMENT RENTALS A 30% deposit of the rental is required at time of booking. Cancellation policy apply according to vendor conditions. No credit cards are accepted.
CREDIT CARDS: For your convenience we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club and American Express as payment for airline transportation only for passengers travelling on Alitalia, Continental, Air France. All other arrangements must be paid by check only.
RESERVATIONS, PAYMENTS and CANCELLATIONS for COSTA VICTORIA CRUISE EXTRAVAGANZA 18 Day/16night Air/Land and ITALY AS YOU LIKE IT, or the COSTA VICTORIA CRUISE EXTRAVAGANZA 10 day/8 night all inclusive air, cruise and hotel. Early reservations are advised. Space is limited. No reservations is considered confirmed without a $400.00 deposit per person received in the form of a check. Final payment is due no later than 65 days prior to sailing. Cancellation received 70 days or more prior to sailing are refunded in full. Cancellations received 69-30 days prior to sailing are refunded in full less the deposit amount. Cancellations received 29-8 days prior to sailing are refunded in full less 50% of the cruise/land package price. Cancellations received 7 days or less are subject to full penalty. We strongly recommend to purchase our travel protection insurance.
CLAIMS: Upon the Client and Tour Operator entering into an agreement, said agreement is intended to take effect as a contract which has been executed or completed in Massachusetts and all transactions thereunder or pursuant thereto shall be governed as to interpretation, validity, effects, rights, duties and remedies of the parties thereunder and in all other respects by the domestic laws of Massachusetts. Upon entering into a contract with the Tour Operator the Client irrevocably waives, to the fullest extent legally possible, any right that it may have or hereinafter acquire to bring suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relation to this agreement in any legal forum of the United States of America other than in any federal or state court sitting in Boston, Massachusetts. The Client irrevocably agrees that any suit, action, or proceeding commenced by the Client against the Tour Operator will be brought in the federal or state courts sitting in Boston, Massachusetts.
REFUNDS: No refunds allowed for any unused portion of tours. No refunds will be made in the event of “no show” or trip interruption.
INSURANCE: Health, accident, baggage and trip insurance is available. We strongly recommend coverage. Ask for insurance application.
SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed on the motorcoach. However, regular stops are scheduled for those who wish to smoke.
BAGGAGE: Baggage is limited to one piece per person and one piece of carry-on luggage not to exceed 39 inches in total dimension. Additional luggage can be accepted subject to space availability on the motorcoach and an additional charge of $3 PER PIECE PER HOTEL will be assessed.
NOT INCLUDED: Rates do not include items of a personal nature such as wines, liquors, beverages, valet service, optional tours, and gratuities to tour director and bus drivers. Rates do not include the departure tax. The word “optional” means not included.

THIS IS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PLAN FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ASK FOR THE DESCRIPTION OF COVERAGE BROCHURE WHICH FULLY DETAILS THE COVERAGES, PROVISIONS, LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS OF THE INSURANCE OFFERED AND IS AVAILABLE TO YOU, UPON REQUEST, AT ANY TIME.
Certain exclusions and limitations apply and are detailed in the Description of Coverage Brochure which will be included with your travel documents and is also available to you, upon request, at any time prior to your purchase of the plan. For example, coverage does not apply to any sickness or condition that existed during the 90 days prior to the effective date of the coverage (this exclusion is waived if your premium is received within 14 days of your initial deposit/payment for your trip and you are not disabled from travel at the time you pay your premium), suicide, normal pregnancy, war or any act of war, mental or nervous disorders. Other Covered Events, as defined, includes the following events or their consequences: air carrier delay due to strike, cancellation of arrangements by an airline, cruise line, or tour operator due to strike or bad weather; a documented traffic accident while en route to departure, jury duty; destruction of your residence by a natural disaster; or a documented theft of passports or visas. A Traveling Companion is defined as a person booked to share accommodations in the same room or cabin with you during your trip. Sickness or Injury must require care by a Physician and must commence while insurance is in force for you. This plan does not cover a loss that results from an illness, disease, or other condition (of you, an Immediate Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner), event or circumstance which occurs at a time when this plan is not in force for you.
