DAY 1 - ROME
Arrival by private car with driver from Rome Fiumicino Airport to the Rome Hotel. After checking in to your centrally-located hotel, you will have ample time to unpack, relax and freshen up prior to jump starting your visit with an independent stroll through Rome to see the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and many other sites of Baroque Rome.
DAY 2 - ROME

After buffet breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning small group walking tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, where you will have a chance to admire Michelangelo’s recently restored frescoes. After lunch on your own, your exploration of Rome continues with an early afternoon small group walking tour of Ancient and Imperial Rome, highlighting the Arch of Constantine, Trajan’s Column, the Roman and Imperial Forums and an interior visit to the Colosseum with skip the line access. Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel prior to heading out on a full-day excursion in search of Tuscany’s hidden gems. The first stop will be in Siena, home of the annual Palio Horse Race, to explore this fortified city as you journey through its winding roads, past tall towers and along the portico-covered galleries. Enjoy the guided tour of the old town, including the famous Basilica of San Domenico (inside visit). Stroll through the large Piazza del Campo, dominated by the Torre della Mangia and the Palazzo Pubblico. Walk up to the stunning Duomo, with its contrasting black and white marble. Proceed to a family-run wine estate in Chianti for a wine tasting followed by lunch with wine. Continue on to the heart of the Chianti countryside, the lovely walled town of San Gimignano, a Unesco World Heritage site known for its many soaring towers. A local guide will introduce you to the history and traditions of this onetime Medieval town, such as highly skilled craftsmen producing handmade traditional Medieval objects. Your last stop will be in Pisa, one of the four former Italian Maritime Republics. Stop to view the Square of Miracles, including the Cathedral, Leaning Tower and Baptistery.
