A border land, where at least four different languages are spoken and even more cultures can be experienced. Friuli Venezia Giulia is a region rich in history and folklore, a place of passage between Eastern and Western Europe, where culture and traditions meet between the Alps and the sea, creating an unparalleled cultural panorama.
A journey through the most significant places in Friuli can only begin with Trieste, the city that best depicts the soul of the whole region. Among the streets that welcomed the writers like Svevo, Joyce, and Saba you can enjoy the beautiful Piazza Unita' D'Italia, the largest square in Europe!
The Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region is a hidden gem situated in the northeast region of Italy bordering Austria, Slovenia and the Adriatic Sea. It is home to the sharp-peaked Dolomite Mountains, lush vineyards producing exceptional white wines, mouthwatering prosciutto and a unique, particular cultural and historical identity.
